Prosecutors allege Ryan Morton, 27, was a mid-level dealer when the criminal organization run by Mario “Five Cent” Sincennes moved into town in an attempt to take over the drug trade in Brockville, Gananoque and Prescott by waging a campaign of violence and intimidation between October 2007 and July 2009.

Morton, who was once stopped by police in a car with two other men on the way to assault rival drug dealers who had resisted the group’s overtures, pleaded guilty to four conspiracy charges. Those charges included conspiracy to traffic cocaine for the benefit of a criminal organization, conspiracy to commit assault causing bodily harm for the benefit of a criminal organization and conspiracy to possess the proceeds of crime."
